水引について…和紙をこより状にして糊で固めた、細い飾り紐のことです。日本では古くから、祝儀袋や贈り物の飾りとして、特別な意味を込めて使われてきました。結び方や色にはそれぞれ意味があり、祝福や感謝の気持ちを表現します。今では、アクセサリーやインテリアとしても人気です。ワークショップでは、伝統的な結び方を学びながら、自分だけの水引アクセサリーを作ることができます。
Mizuhiki is a traditional Japanese decorative cord made by twisting strips of washi paper and hardening them with glue. It has long been used to decorate gifts and envelopes, carrying special meanings through its colors and knots. Each design expresses feelings like celebration, gratitude, or good wishes. Today, Mizuhiki is also popular in accessories and home décor. In this workshop, you’ll learn traditional knotting techniques and create your own Mizuhiki accessory — a unique and personal souvenir.
